The End of Poverty Begins with Her
Girls are 2.5 times more likely to be out of school than boys putting them at increased risk of poverty and violence.
We believe that gender equality and women and adolescent girls’ empowerment are foundational to the realization of human rights for everyone, the key to development and necessary for creating a peaceful and stable world.
Through Power of Her, we champion three interwoven pathways that will help to improve the well-being of women and girls: health, education, and economic opportunities. To make strides in this area, we know that we must empower women and girls to be agents of change. We also know we must help to educate and encourage men and boys, community groups, local leadership and faith-based and secular organizations, to recognize and make room for the untapped potential of the women and girls in their communities. This year our focus projects will support women and girls in countries like Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Honduras.
Donate today, and you will help women and girls unleash their potential, strengthen their communities, and better our world.
