Drought ravages Ethiopia, Kenya, and Somalia, leaving 23 million people without reliable access to food and water. Recent conflict in Sudan adds to the strain causing over 1.4 million people to be displaced and in need of essentials.

Additionally, the Canadian government has announced that they will be matching funds raised for the crisis in East Africa. Through this fund, the government will match – dollar-for-dollar – all eligible contributions from individual Canadians to World Vision Canada and other Canadian aid agencies until June 30th, 2023.
